The joy of dance
South Shore Ballet Theatre provides students and their families on the South Shore with the opportunity to develop an appreciation of ballet and other related dance disciplines in a safe and nurturing environment. We encourage our students to strive to achieve to their fullest potential, regardless of their course of study.
Our students perform on a regular basis including our beloved full-length production of The Nutcracker, spring Gala and in cooperation with local schools and arts programs, in order to share their work with the local community.

Pre Professional
Pre Professional
Pre-Professional is a rigorous program for ages 12 - 19 designed to meet the needs of highly-dedicated students who intend to pursue college-level conservatory training and/or careers in professional ballet.

SSBT faculty provides a positive, encouraging environment in which adults may revisit the beaty of ballet or experience the joy of music and movement for the first time.

Classical
The Classical Ballet Program (ages 7 – 18) is designed to offer strong ballet training for SSBT’s recreational students, using the same ABT National Training Curriculum as the Intensive Ballet Program.

Intensive
The Intensive Ballet Program, for ages 8 – 18, is specifically designed to prepare students to advance to SSBT’s Pre-Professional Program. Participation is by invitation only. Pointe work is generally introduced at Level 4i at the discretion of SSBT faculty.
